ITINERARY

DAY 1 - DEPART FROM LONDON

Depart from London.

DAY 2 - ARRIVE SINGAPORE

Upon arrival in Singapore, meet and greet with the English speaking driver and you will be transferred to the hotel. Check-in and your free time at leisure.

DAY 3 - SINGAPORE (B/-/-)

Day Tour on your on. As Singapore' transportation is very easy to get around, we did not include the guide for today. You can easily take City Sightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off Buses to get around Singapore.

DAY 4 - SINGAPORE - MALACCA (B/-/D)

After breakfast at Hotel, 0900hrs, pick up from your hotel lobby and depart overland journey to Malacca via Johor Bahru 2nd Link (border in between Singapore & Malaysia). Upon clearing the immigration & customs, we will continue our journey to Malacca, a journey of approximately 3 – 4 hours. On arrival in Malacca, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Malacca. (Note: A change of vehicle will be required at the border, no local guide accompanying)
***Malacca has just been conferred the status of Unesco World Heritage Site on 7th July 2008. A full day tour of Malacca is an adventure through more than 600 years of history. The city was formerly ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch and lastly the British.
1600hrs, visit St. Peter’s Church (built in 1710) – the oldest Christian church still in use in Malaysia today. Drive past the largest 17th-century Chinese cemetery outside of China, located at Bukit China. Proceed to view the famous gateway “Porta de Santiago”, also known as “A-Famosa”. Once a fortress, it was built by the Portuguese in 1511. Visit the ruins of St. Paul’s Church where St. Francis Xavier was once buried and much more. Next visit the Stadhuys – 1641 to 1660 – also known as the “Red Square” due to the salmon pink color of the building. It was once a Dutch Administration centre which today houses the Malacca Museum and some government offices.
Nyonya dinner is served at a local restaurant.
Later, our local guide will take you to our last stop – Jonker Walk (Note: only Fridays to Sundays from 1800hrs onwards). Located along Jalan Hang Jebat, this street is also known as Jonker Street. During the evenings from 1800hrs onwards, this street is transformed into a long pedestrian mall known as Jonker Walk. You will also find shops selling antiques, wood carvings, household products, trendy clothes and plenty more. Upon completion of the tours, we will transfer and drop you off at your hotel. (Note: This half day guided tour last approx 4 hrs)

DAY 5 - MALACCA – KUALA LUMPUR (B/-/D)

Breakfast at the hotel.
Check out and transfer to Kuala Lumpur.
Arrive, check-in.
Later this evening, our driver waiting for you for a Chinatown by Night.
This tour will bring you to visit the bustling night markets in Chinatown. Take a stroll through the open-air market where you can test your bargaining skills for a wide variety of merchandises spread across the street.
Visit the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple located in the heart of Chinatown. The smell of burning jasmine, incessant chanting of the Hindu priest, intricately carved deities and the mystical aura combines to give you a lasting impression of this religion. Later, we will bring you to the famous Alor Food Street and let you experience and try different variety of local food before we call it a day. (Note: This half day guided tour last approx 5 hrs)

DAY 6 - KUALA LUMPUR – kuala selangor- kuala lumpur (B/-/D)

0900hrs, we will have an orientation of the Half Day Kuala Lumpur City Tour (approx 4 hrs) – an insight of old and new starting from where the city of Kuala Lumpur (KL) started, which is at the confluence of the two rivers, Gombak River and the Klang River, to the Petronas Twin Tower (photo stop), King's Palace (photo stop), the National Museum (included entrance fee), National Mosque (drive pass), National Monument (photo stop) and to the buildings at the Independence Square, and the newly renovated historical Sultan Abdul Samad Building. Back to your hotel and free at own leisure.
1600hrs, Kuala Selangor is only a 90-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur and yet it has much to offer, especially to those who wish to peek at Malaysian rural life. You will first visit an old Hindu temple, Sri Sakthi Temple, grafted with granites stones. Next, visit the Melawati Hills, where you will find the Altingburg Lighthouse, offering a panoramic view of the Straits of Malacca. You may also encounter the semi-wild Silver leaf monkeys here.
This is followed by a local seafood dinner at a local restaurant with a great sunset view (order from the menu), after which we treat you to the highlight of the evening: firefly watching. You will be rowed upstream where you can see thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in mangrove trees lining the banks of the river. After this tour, you are driven back to the city. Note: Fireflies watching is subject to weather conditions, if it is in raining season, you will not be able to experience it. Tips: Please wear comfortable walking shoes, cap/hat.

DAY 7 - KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the hotel.
At 8:30 AM, depart from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur and proceed to visit the famous Batu Caves where the shrine of the Hindu deity Lord Subramaniam is set within an outcrop of limestone caves. After this, we will proceed north to the Hill Resort of Cameron Highlands, which is 1542 meters above sea level. Cameron Highlands is famous for its world-renowned tea. En route, make a stop to visit a cottage industry making bamboo baskets and the Lata Iskandar Waterfall. Upon arrival at the Cameron Highlands, check in hotel. Rest of the day is free at your own leisure.

DAY 8 - CAMERON HIGHLANDS (B/-/-)

Breakfast at the Resort.
After breakfast explore the many interesting sights of this hill resort. Visit tea plantation & tea factory to learn about the tea making process and you can also sit down and enjoy a cup of tea at the cafe. The view overlooking the plantations is beautiful and perfect. This hill resort produces vegetables for the nation's consumptions as well as for exports. After visiting the vegetable farm (photo stop) and strawberry farm, continue to the morning market where you can find all the produce of Cameron Highlands sold in one place. This is where most of the local tourist would bargain for their favourite local produce. . Not to forget, visit the Cactus Valley, Rose Garden plus an oldest Chinese temple in Cameron Highlands. Lastly, take a stroll around Tanah Rata before returning to the hotel. Tour ends upon return to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Note: The tea plantation is closed on Mondays.

DAY 9 - CAMERON HIGHLANDS – ipoh – kuala kangsat - PENANG (B/-/-)

0830hrs, check-out and overland transfer to Penang. En-route we will stop by in Ipoh to visit Sam Poh Tong cave temple, features a cave temple in a hidden courtyard surrounded by limestone hills with a turtle pond where you can purchase vegetables to feed hundreds of hungry tortoises and turtles set free by devotees a long time ago. (Note: The cave temple usually closes at 1400hrs)
Travel further north, comfortably cradled in a crook of Perak River, Kuala Kangsar is a well preserved old Royal Town where its serenity and its well-maintained old palaces are worth mentioning. A brief stop at the glided domed Ubudiah Mosque, was designed by Arthur Benison Hubback, a government architect who is notably credited for the design of the Ipoh railway station and the Kuala Lumpur railway station.
The Sultan's Palace, Istana Iskandariah is another legacy of British architect serving in the then Malaya. It is a massive marble structure with a series of towers, topped by golden onion domes set among trees and rolling lawns. After the visit, we shall continue the overland journey to Penang by crossing over the popular Penang bridge.

DAY 10 - PENANG (B/-/-)

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of Penang.
Penang Round Island Tour:
Also known as the Temple of Supreme Bliss, Kek Lok Si Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Southeast Asia and arguably one of the most iconic landmarks in Penang. The centerpiece of the temple is the 7-tiered Pagoda of 10,000 Buddhas and adjacent to this imposing edifice is a bronze Statue of Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy), believed to be the tallest in the world.
Later, discover the enchanting beauty of Penang and her secrets that takes you through idyllic and picturesque fishing villages. Along with a stop at the Penang Batik Handicraft center to observe how Malaysian Batik is being made.
Stop at a street stall to be introduced the many varieties of fruits and spices produced by the local farmers. Drive to the valley where clusters of traditional Malay villages along Teluk Bahang where one can feel tranquillity. The rest of the day is free at own leisure.
***Note: When visiting sacred temples or places of worship, it is best to show respect in dress code. Dress as modestly as possible (shorts, miniskirts and sleeveless tops are inappropriate and must be avoided). A small donation of MYR2.00/person is required when entering the Pagoda

DAY 11 - PENANG – KUALA TERENGGANU – TANJONG JARA (B/-/-)

Departure transfer to Penang Airport for short domestic flight to Kuala Terengganu (TGG) via Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival at TGG Airport, meet and transfer to the Tanjong Jara Resort for check-in. Free at leisure.
