• Boat transportation from Arenal to Monteverde across the Arenal Lake.
• Discover the misty Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.
• Journey across hanging bridges to the cloud forest in Monteverde.
• Hike at the Rincon de la Vieja Park and observe the craters and fumaroles.
• Enjoy the Pacific Ocean waves in Samara Beach surrounded by its beautiful landscape.

Day 1: San José

On arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to hotel by our representatives.

Day 2: San José downtown

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to discover San José at your own pace or simply stay at your hotel and enjoy its facilities.

Day 3: San José / Tortuguero National Park (4h on the road)

Early departure towards Guápiles in the region of Tortuguero. At the “Rio Danta” restaurant, we stop for breakfast. The first contact with Costa Rica’s exuberant Nature then passes by banana plantations. At Caño Blanco/La Pavona, the local boats will take us through the canals of Tortuguero to the heart of the tropical forest. Observe its rich Caribbean fauna and flora (monkeys, green ibis, crocodiles, Mexican jacanas, toucans…). Settling into the hotel and lunch is taken. During the afternoon, walk at the typical Caribbean village of Tortuguero, return to the lodge.

Day 4: Tortuguero National Park

Boat trip for a visit to the canals of the Tortuguero National Park to discover the great biodiversity of this beautiful national park. It is the habitat of multiple species of birds, monkeys, iguanas. We will help you spot this rich fauna and tropical flora. And to complete the day, a visit to the lodge’s botanical garden. Lunch and dinner included at the hotel.

Day 5: Tortuguero / Arenal (4h on the road)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Return by boat to Caño Blanco/Pavonia, and then bus to Guápiles. Lunch at a typical restaurant. Then, in your private bus with your English-speaking guide we continuation towards the northwest up to the city of La Fortuna located at the base of the Arenal Volcano, an emblematic image of Costa Rica thanks to its perfectly conical shape. Free time to stroll around the village of La Fortuna. Settle into your hotel.

Day 6: Arenal Volcano National Park

A morning dedicated to visiting the Arenal National Park with your private guide traveling on the marked paths of this volcano, active since 1968, up to the runoffs of dry lava. It is one of the top 10 most active volcanoes in the world. Its main characteristic is the majestic, almost perfect cone, which is 1633 meters high and rumbles regularly. You will contemplate a very varied flora and fauna. If you are interested in birds, you will be delighted, since here you will find more than half the species of birds in the national territory. Additionally, you will enjoy the lowest slopes of the volcano.

At the end of the afternoon, you will have the chance to bathe at the Baldi hot springs and enjoy the beneficial qualities for your health and relax at the same time in hot spring water swimming pools naturally heated by the Arenal volcano. These waters, considered therapeutic, are certified by the National Waters laboratory of Costa Rica. Each swimming pool has a different temperature; choose your favorite one. You will have the opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the Arenal Volcano. The swimming pools are suitable for everyone.

Day 7: Arenal/ Monteverde (2h on the road)

Breakfast at the hotel, then go to the heart of the Costa Rican misty cloud forest: Monteverde. Going across the Arenal Lake, on a boat ride, you’ll enjoy great views of the Arenal Volcano and the Monteverde mountain range., You will enjoy the landscape of the dwarf forest, dramatically sculpted by the wind. In the forest, the tallest trees are decorated with bromeliads, ferns, vines, and moss. More than 100 species of mammals, 400 species of birds, 120 species of amphibians and reptiles and over 2,500 species of plants can be seen in the area. You will live an unforgettable experience in Monteverde.

Day 8: Monteverde

After breakfast, enjoy unique views from the tree tops. Admire the fauna and flora from a high perspective. Travel 1.8 miles of cloud forest across 8 hanging bridges, between 160 and 600 feet long and 40 to 200 feet high. Enjoy an approximately one and a half hrs walk. This tour is suitable for everyone.

Return back to the hotel.

Day 9: Monteverde / Rincon de la Vieja (3h00 on the road)

After breakfast, check out then depart on your private bus towards the region of Guanacaste, a tropical plane among the warmest in the country. It is a land of cattle farming and big land properties. You will notice without a doubt the farm boys who look like real “cowboys”.

Arrival and settle at your hotel in the Rincon de la Vieja Area.

Day 10: Rincon de la Vieja

We visit Rincón de la Vieja, this national park was declared by the UNESCO World Heritage since 1999. Its name, “Old Woman´s Corner”, probably originated in the indigenous tribe of Guatuso; they believed an old witch lived on the top of the mountain and that she sent the fumaroles whenever she was angry. You will have the opportunity to walk around the park, observe the fumaroles and appreciate the exotic and varied flora, Return to the hotel Lunch and dinner included.

Day 11: Rincón de la Vieja / Samara beach (3h on the road)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Check out from the hotel and then head towards Samara beach on the northern Pacific coastline by private bus, on arrival, check into your hotel and relax at a beautiful Samara beach.

Day 12 - 13: Samara beach

Breakfast at the hotel.

Free day at your Samara beach hotel. Time to stroll on the nearby beaches, enjoy the landscape or the hotel facilities.

Day 14: Tortuguero / Arenal (4h on the road)

Breakfast at the hotel.

After check out, departure in private bus towards San José. Arrival and check into your hotel. Then free time to stroll in San José downtown.

After breakfast transfer to the airport to return London.
